'I was referred to Bronek three years ago by my physio who'd told me that many of the running injuries I was suffering from were due to my joints not being able to carry the excess weight I'd put on. Bronek totally revolutionised my gym sessions and the results were incredible. Whereas before I hardly broke a sweat in the gym, I now emerge looking as if I've been swimming! Bronek's mantra is 'I WANT RESULTS', and by following a fairly low-carb diet, running for 30 minutes three times a week and doing his programmes two to three times a week I was able to lose an astonishing 2st 7lb in just over two months! Bronek's approach to fitness is cutting edge - I work on a health and fitness magazine and so thought I knew a thing or two about exercise, but even now I find myself reading about 'new' exercises in newspapers and magazine that he told me about three years ago. I look forward to every session with Bronek as he's just so dedicated and encouraging but also so much fun - I never fail to spend at least 50% of our time together laughing (the rest of the time I spend gritting my teeth)! If you want someone on your side who's committed 110% to making your health and fitness goals a reality, Bronek's the perfect personal trainer for you.'

'Having been a PT for sometime, I found that I was struggling with my own training due to a back injury and lack of motivation. Having worked closely with Bronek for several months he has sorted out my back issues and got me training hard again! Now I'm squatting and lifting more than ever before! I used to think I knew a lot about training and getting people results, but Bronek really is the man!'
Matt Couldry, personal trainer
'I met Bronek in the summer of 1998 and he's been the most helpful, patient and knowledgeable coach you could ever meet. Although he remains a 'no nonsense' coach, he also has a wonderful sense of humour, which helped to get me through his frequently gruelling training sessions. Bronek's passionate about helping all of his clients to achieve their goals and you know he's always there for you.'
Faye Milham
'I just wanted to say thanks again so much for training me over the past couple of months - it has really opened my eyes to the benefits of weights and the gym in general and you've been a fabulous teacher. I have also never got such good results before from exercise and eating well and am determined to stick to my new three-day-a-week routine (and of course keep having egg and porridge for breakfast!) I really do enjoy it and feel better in myself, too, which is great.'

18 December 2006: weight: 86kg; blood pressure: 110/72: maximum continuous jog: 60+ minutes
'I guess the above says a lot. I started training with Bronek because I wanted to see my children grow up. His continuous support, encouragement, advice and friendliness helped a great deal. I admit that at times in the gym it was difficult not to hate him - but the bottom line is that he makes the pain worthwhile and knows exactly what he's doing. Bronek always comes up with different exercises to keep it interesting - and best of all he doesn't like the cardio machines! He has the ability to push you to your limits but also knows when to back off. In short, I'd recommend Bronek to anyone who wants to change themselves for the better.'

'Bronek is a really person who knows what he's talking about. Yes, I had to put in lot of hard work but the benefits outweighed everything. I'm certain I wouldn't have been able to achieve what I achieved without Bronek:
a) My weight went from 70kg down to 50kg
b) My marathon time went from 5h45min to 3h26min
c) I competed in Les Foulees de la Soie (a stage run in China in 2001), the Marathon des Sables (known as the toughest foot race in the world) in the Sahara in Morocco, the Ice Marathon in Omsk, Russia, in 2003, and various other marathons and stage runs in Europe.

'I started working out with Bronek after the birth of my third child and I credit him completely with getting me into better shape than I was before baby number three, probably even than before baby number one. I look forward to Bronek's sessions because they're fun and challenging and we always do different exercises each time. I also like training with Bronek because he listens not only to my goals, but also to my likes and dislikes, and always tries to create a programmes for me that I know I'll stick with. I've worked with a number of trainers in London, but Bronek's knowledge and enthusiasm surpasses almost all of them.'

'Before I met Bronek, I'd been doing powerlifting and Olympic weightlifting programmes for about three years. However, despite my attempts to adopt a scientific approach to training (i.e. reading the relevant literature, occasionally taking private lessons) my results were not all that impressive. Moreover, for the last year I was stuck with pretty much the same weights and started thinking that I'd reached my limits. Well, Bronek proved me wrong. The first thing I realised to my embarrassment was that despite all my book reading I really knew nothing about proper weightlifting technique, nor about the correct methodology of training.
'The first squat programme Bronek designed for me seemed totally unrealistic: each Monday I'd wonder how the hell I'd get through the next week's plan and each Sunday, to my surprise, found I'd got through it. Yes it was hard, but I added over 30kg on my squat in just three months, compared to 0kg in the previous year and just 20kg in the year before that. The secret was to get the volume and intensity right. I also increased weights in other exercises, deadlifted 200kg (445lb), improved my technique and, although it was of secondary importance to me, lost fat and built more muscle. I'm now completely convinced that almost anyone who trains correctly can achieve decent results in either weightlifting or bodybuilding. Still 'correctly' is the key here, so if you want to avoid losing years in trial and error or training with coaches who can hardly teach you to lift a broomstick, go with Bronek, the Polish IronMan.'

1) Anyone following Bronek's regime exactly has 100% results.
2) I've never seen more rapid health and bodyshape changes with anyone else.
3) Age, injuries or disabilities are no problem - Bronek can always work around these.
4) His clients can lose a substantial amount of weight - even while still eating chocolate!
5) He's not only participated in many differnt sports at a high level but also has the academic knowledge to back everything up. Bronek never stops studying and learning.
6) His programmes are always interesting - every session is scientifically worked out and gives fast results while being fun at the same time.
7) Due to his extensive knowledge one can train with him for years without repeating any sessions - his repertoire is endless!
Leslie Watson, physiotherapist
'When I began training with Bronek I already had 15 years of gym work under my belt. My own training had taken me to 98kg, a 39in waist and legs like sticks. I was pretty strong - I used to bench press 190kg unequipped and could do a set of one-arm chin-ups. And yet I could hardly make it up four flights of stairs without stopping for breath. I found training with Bronek really hard to begin with and used to curse the weird and wonderful exercises he prescribed for me. However, when I got them right, they generated unbelievably good results. Within four months my bodyweight had dropped to 80kg, my waist shrank to 32in, and I was astounded to find that I was so much stronger than when I'd been almost 20kg heavier. Now I can do a ten-minute intensive warm-up with a grin on my face and huffing and puffing during a brisk stroll is a thing of the past. I can definitely say that training according to the "Bronek principle" is well worth it!'

Bronek Wlodarczyk has been working with the Association of Disabled Sport 'Start' in Koszalin (Poland) on a voluntary basis over the past eight years by designing training programmes for disabled athletes in both athletics and bench press.
Bronek has introduced us to many innovative training methods, all of which have had a significant influence on the results that have been achieved, especially in the bench-press events. Our group includes the medal-winning members of the Polish Disabled National Squad who entered the European Championships in Bench Press 2007 at Kavali, in Greece.
Mr Wlodarczyk is at ease with our athletes and is quickly able to gain their trust, which means they're happy to follow the training programmes he asks them to undertake. He trains everybody according to their individual needs and in a way that works well in a team environment. His knowledge of sports science and sports physiology is immense and he applies that knowledge to good and practical effect. He has impressed us with the variety of exercises he uses in his sessions and we are very grateful for his assistance
We hope that Bronek Wlodarczyk will eventually compile and publish his experience and knowledge as a book that will serve a wide audience interested in sports training. We urge him to do it!
We are convinced that anybody who works with Bronek will definitely experience great improvements in their athletic conditioning.
Aleksander Poplawski
Chairman of the Association of Disabled Sport
Head Coach of the Polish National Athletic Disabled Squad
'I have only recently started working with Bronek. My health concerns were stiffness, especially in the lower back, weight issues, and most debilitating of all, a dodgy knee - a consequence of sports injuries and a knee operation in my youth.
I am delighted to report considerable progress: I am now much less stiff, and have not had any episodes of lower back pain since working with Bronek. I had been plagued with weight issues since adolescence. I am now delighted to say I am lighter than I have been for 30 years; I feel I have found a comfortable tool with which to manage my weight.
And I am amazed I can now squat, something my challenging knee had not been able to countenance for years. I could hardly believe it last week when Bronek had me squatting AND simultaneously lifting seriously heavy (well to me anyway) weights!
Bonek's sessions are always interesting, varied and enjoyable, important in maintaining commitment to training - as well as being physically beneficial. I have been astonished at the contortions I can get into, the pace of some of the training, my increased suppleness, and the weights I can now manage. Bronek's approach is safe, considered and informed, and comes from a wealth of study, thought and experience, working with people at all sorts of different levels.
I am only beginning to realise in what bad shape I was before I started training with Bronek, in spite of being a keen hillwalker and attender of gyms. I am hopeful I can continue to make further progress. I have in the past been a fairly serious mountaineer and hope at some point to return to more challenging ascents without fear of knee inflammation.
I hopped down the stairs the other day; I don't recall doing that in years! And I actually felt nimble this week, something I don't ever remember feeling! I had in recent years been starting to feel a certain fragility, for example I had started to dislike having to lower onto the mat for exercises, and had vaguely assumed this was an inevitable stiffness, an apprehensiveness, a natural consequence of the passage of time. Not so! I have now almost forgotten this unwelcome development that had been creeping up on me, and hope I can assign it to history.
I would add that when I reflect back on my own childhood, adolescence and young adult life Bronek's approach would have made a tremendous difference to my development and confidence. I have always liked physical activities, and I would have welcomed this level of dedicated input and challenge. It is topical that we may be facing a burgeoning public health crisis with the increasing obesity rate in children. As someone who has worked in the NHS in visual health, child development, and also screening in primary care, I would suggest that schools consider adopting 'The Bronek Method'.
Bronek most certainly reaches the parts other health professionals don't reach!'
